Aftah I took da dogs out fo’ one walk. Wat kine mind you get?! 
So I stay sitting in my half-walled cubicle listening to 98.5 late in da afternoon yesterday and hea pops in Da King of HA blogs standing in front of my little hole and I say,
“Ai-yah! Wat I did? I nevah do nothin’! Dey made me do it!”
Straight from Da King, Tsaiko’s fearless leader, I got da scoops - plus Princess Shaunabee mentioned something about it not starting too in her post. So hea I am, for da time being back to entertain you - or rag on me - whichever you prefer cause it’s au’ good!
Hey, I just realized Da King himself posted on WWD! Cheeeeee-frickin’-hoooooo! Wow, score yeah!
Ok, if He Da King of HA Blogs. Da Cat Da Queen. Shaunabee Da Princess. Uncle Rodney must be like Da Elder Advisah. Den dat make me wat….OH…. Da Jestah yeah! Cheee-hooo! But I ain’t wearin’ dat stupid hat!
So I’m back until we get all united on the home front… and get some reliable information. Sorry for the confusion and shmall kine panic attack. And hea I thought I was going to have one break. At least now I can blog about DK’s next week. 
Which leads me to ask, has anyone else done anything or reacted based on misinformation? What did you do? How did you feel?
It feels like I stay in one dark room and someone yells, “Let’s streak!”. I strip down, the door flys open and I sprint out…. by myself and the door closes. Yeah, WWD!

I’ve got a friend who called me to attend one of these “product survey things” whereby they pay you $30 for an hour’s time. This was about 20 years ago and $30 back then was probably worth $50 now! Told him “shoots” and both of us went. We got separated into two groups and my group was the “lucky” one whereby they immediately dismissed us and paid each of us our $30. My friend’s group had to stay the whole time and I left a message with one of the company reps to tell him I left already. I couldn’t personally tell my friend as his group was behind “closed doors” doing their survey.
When my friend finished………he was PISSED! He chewed me out for DITCHING HIM and not telling him where I went as he looked for me after.
I explained how we were dismissed and I did leave a note for him…not my fault the representative didn’t give it to him. I then asked him “What would YOU have done?”
After he listened to me…he sheepishly said “Same as you”.
Moral to the story……….”DON’T JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS IF YOU DON’T HAVE ALL THE FACTS!”

Called police station one time cause wasn’t sure about traffic laws regarding school bus when they have lights flashing and stop sign sticking out. Wanted to know if on a divided road if the cars from the opposite direction had to stop. The officer on the phone told me that cars had to stop from both directions even if had one median strip. Okay, so I take his word and explained this to other people but aiyah, a friend pulls out his trusty Hawaii road rules book and actually no need stop from the opposite direction on a divided road. Hooo, good thing I didn’t come across that situation and if I went stop, da guys behind going be pissed. But hey, if one officer tells you da rules, you gotta believe him, right?

YAY! something to do at work today….i mean….i’m on early lunch break reading the blog? yeah…that’s it
about the misinformation….oh boy!
needless to say we ate at separate Zippy’s that night
a bunch of us went to the airport to see one of our friends off (when they would still let you go to the gate even if you weren’t a passenger) but she neglected to tell us she had to change her flight! so we’re waiting, leaving message on her phone, then when people started boarding & she still wasn’t there we got little bit worried…i mean, she’s one of those “hawaiian time” to da extreme but we figure she not going miss her plane! so finally she calls me back & was like, “why you guys at the airport? OOOOH i changed my flight! i thought i told you”
or the time when our gang was supposed to meet @ zippy’s so they tell us “pearl city zips” so my car we go Pearl City Zips, the 2-story one….well we wait little while, then get a table for 8, only to wait some more until one of us got an angry phone call from the other guys asking where da heck we were?! so we tell them PC Zips wea you guys?! and they insist they’re at that one too at a table waiting “forever” for us….come find out they went to Waiau

Layoffs are a necessary evil in many cases if companies are to survive, and there is a proper way to handle the situation. It sounds like the Advertiser was rather improper with their communication. Anyway, glad you’re back. As for misinformation, I’m pretty level headed and my master’s degree is in communication/organizational emphasis, so I make every effort to see all sides of the story before I react. I’m not very emotional, either, I leave that up to the middle aged women in my office.

eh, BL, dat’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s when you get supah emotional, and you start to act irrationally, that’s when it becomes a problem. In the situation with the baseball awards, I betchu your players had chicken skin seeing their fearless leader get all choked up over them. I know that would affect me, as a youngster, and it might not be until that moment that a lot of the things you said throughout the season really sinks in.
Back on topic: Ho, I cannot count how many times I had “fly-by’s” with other peeps. No get told about a party changing date, or venue; wrong time for airport pickup; order the wrong stuff from restaurant; guys ask you for save seats at the opening night at a crowded movie, den flake out; show up for beef, but your crew backed out (oh no, wait, dat was a movie I think
) etc, etc.
Anyways - glad to have you back BL! Waiting for the DK review!

Misinformation…I remember one time a friend of mine was applying for a position (a promotion) and I heard from a higher-up that she didn’t get the job because of a technicality. She was sweating it out, waiting, so I spilled the beans to her. She was SO BUMMED. Turns out that the higher-ups decided to ignore the technicality and she got the job. Ai sus!

Yeah, my cankle still is pretty bad. I still play in my two softball leagues (different nights) and my morning basketball league which is the same day as the media league and my cankle is in too bad a shape to go two times in one day so I had to sacrifice one to rest it. I know the fella’s keep telling me I need to be out there but I would have been of no help hobbling around and not playing up to their’s - and mine - expectations. I heard it was an “interesting” season though….
