Kokua Needed... Doesn't Cost A Thing

But I do have a couple of shout outs and a kokua plea. 
Well depending on your phone plan, it shouldn't cost a thing. It definitely doesn't cost you a thing on the computer but a minute. The person needing the help is none other than our Maui boy Shane Victorino of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Wat does he need our kokua for?
To help him get into da 2009 All-Star Game of course!
It's such an easy thing to do. Just go to www.mlb.com and click on the upper banner that says "Sprint Vote". Fill out da short form and click away!!! You can vote as many times as you like and da beauty of it, you don't have to refill the form!
Or if you're away from the computer, as long as you're a Sprint, Nextel or Boost subscriber, you can vote by text by texting to 1122 and entering "N5". Dat's it!
I've entered about 20 times online and about 50 times by text!
Even if you're not a baseball fan, which I'm not, we gotta support anybody/thing from da 808 right?! Or at least as much as I can before I get carpal tunnel.
btw, did you know that he's also da recipient of the 2009 Lou Gehrig Award? It's an award given to the Major League Baseball player who best exemplifies the giving character of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig. Here's a little tidbit you may not have known.... did you know dat he's an Eagle Scout? Not only is he sharing da aloha from da islands across da nation, you know dat he's genuine about it too and not just "showing face".
So let's help support da Flyin' Hawaiian and vote! He certainly deserves it not only by his actions on da field, but most definitely off da field as well! Voting ends 4pm Eastern tomorrow (Thursday). He's in a very tight race (currently 2nd) for da last All-Star spot so let's go geev 'um eh!

Ho BL you really laid one on me. I am split between Shane and S.F. Giants rookie Pablo "Kung Fu Panda" Sandoval. They both are having productive seasons and both deserve to be at the All Star Game. What a dilemma. I love the way Shane plays the game; all out hustle. But Sandoval has been carrying the Giants on his back. O.K. I'll just be diplomatic and send equal amount of support to both guys. I realize that I'm just cancelling out my vote but at least I my conscience will be clear. Go NL.

I voted for Shane.
Plus, my friend from H.S. is Aaron Hill on the Blue Jays. He was out all last year and came back this year, only to be leading the A.L. in hits, 3rd in the majors in HR's, and batting .299. He's going to the All Star game this year. That's so sweet, I bet my hometown is getting all excited. His salary jumped from $450,000 last year to $2,399,000 this year. Sweet.

I voted for Shane. My conscience made me vote for Kung Fu Panda too, though. I think his numbers are just as deserving.

Voted for him over the weekend. Only time I saw him was when he played club soccer for Maui at Kapiolani Park. He was a beast, a fast beast. At the time, I thought he had a future in soccer...think he made the right choice in baseball. He might be the greatest position player out of Hawaii.

I read that our Gov is betting the Penn Gov on which state will vote more for Shane-O. Going 4-5 with a dinger yesterday had to have helped.
